Battle of the Myths (IC)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Ragweed on Sun Jul 05, 2009 5:25 pm

OOC is here: post689726.html#p689726

Back in a world that the Modern Day will never hear of except for in fairy tales and scary stories, there were two very particular kingdoms. They were ruled by two mighty kings. the only thing was, there was not a single human in this peculiar world. But alas, not all things are peaceful in this strange land. As war taints the air heavy with death and despair, every creature can feel the strain, and prepares to fight. But everyone knows that in every battle, there is only one winner.

Rido Kain stepped out into the dark and black courtyard of the Elixer Palace. It was around three in the morning, but the massive red Cerberus wasn't in the least tired; he never slept.
Looking up at the bright full moon, he sighed and stepped over to the large fountain that dominated the center of the peaceful garden. Lowering his monstrous sized head, the beast lapped up the cool, running water, closing all three sets of his glowing pupiless eyes. Letting the light morning wind rustle the thick, hard scales that sat from the crown of his head to the base of his whip-like tail, Rido lifted his head once more and thought of the war that was certain to arise in the near future. The time to fight was coming quickly.
If the bombs go off
The sun will still be shining
Because I've heard it said that every mushroom cloud
Has a silver lining

Zeboroth grunted as he walked through the dark, dimly lit, stone halls of his He could sense the strain in the air, just as all the other demons and monsters in his kingdom could. They loved it. Anyday now, Zeboroth would be riding into battle. Zeboroth smirked and burst into his throne room, seating himsdelf on his large throne made of bronze and iron. Oh yes, he would ride into battle, and he himself would be the one to kill that mutt Elixer called their king.

Zeatha emerged from the secret entrance behind the throne that only the most trusted of the kings advisers were privy to.

"Your majesty" She said, bowing her head and looking slightly over her left shoulder, as was the traditional sign of respect among her people. "The battle approaches, and the troops are prepared. I have foreseen a bloody, violent battle...but i cannot see its end. The victor is still to be decided by Fayte."

Her voice was raspy and had a hint of worry to her.

Zeboroth stood from his throne, sauntering over to his most trusted advisor. "Zeatha, Zeatha," Zeboroth said, "Do you doubt that I, KIng Zeboroth of the Shadow KIngdom, will fail?" Zeboroth's cold black eyes bore into the advisors. His eyes softened as he reached up and place a tentacle (some of Zeatha's 'hair') and placed it behind her shoudler. "I should hope not."

Zeatha closed her eyes for a moment, opening them again and looking at her king.

"Of course not, My lord...but do not let your confidence become arrogance. Over confidence can be more dangerous than all the creatures of this land." she said, the worry in her voice now gone, or at least well hidden.

"Yes, it can be.." Zeboroth murmured his eyes staring blankly at something over Zeathas right shoudler. Zeboroth blinked, coming back from his trance. A smirk grew on his face as he looked back down into Zeatha's eyes. "Thank you for informing me, your ever present loyalty pleases me." Zeboroth then turned around walking a few yards over to a large window, his cape billowing out behind him. The window over looked his Kingdom, and Zeboroth spoke, "And what of the Generals?" His head turned to look at Zeatha over his shoulder, "Have they checked all the warrior? Everything must be ready."

"All is prepared. All warriors are prepared, and i have given the warlocks their orders. Everything is ready." She said, moving closer.

She looked over his shoulder and out the window, thinking for a moment.

"Beyond that horizon, my Lord, is your future....and it will be the greatest this world has ever known. You are most definitely the greatest of all the kings this land has ever seen." If there was one thing Zeatha knew would never put her wrong, it was flattery. She placed a webbed hand delicately on his shoulder for a moment before removing it and whirling about, walking away.

A troubled look was on her face.

"Good Good." Zeboroth said lightly as Zeatha informed him of his armies. A triumphant smile spread across Zeboroths face as Zeatha praised him. "Yes..." he said greedily, images of victory racing through his Minds Eye. "The greatest king." he said. As Zeatha laid a hand on his shoulder, he focused more on the present. "Zeatha", he called over his shoulder, "Make sure we make time to get our armour fitted, everything must be perfect for the day King Zeboroth slays the mighty Rido Cain."

Zeatha removed the grave look from her face and looked over her shoulder to Zeboroth.

"Yes, my Lord, of course. I will have the servants clean and polish your Armour right away. I will be in the Library if you need me, Your majesty. You should get some rest." Zeatha exited the way she had entered and walked along the dark, narrow corridor to the library. She reached it, sealing the secret entrance behind her and collapsing into the water-filled, sunken bath that King Dorin had had fitted upon her request. She sank below the water, closing her eyes and sighing.

War was coming, and dreaded it more than anything else. But she would fight, and she would seem to relish all the spilt blood.

Slowly, she drifted off to sleep.

Gestin walked down the rows of soldiers, making themselves ready for the war that everyone sensed was approaching. The Shadow Kingdom was not only known for their mighty ruler, but also for its powerful army. Millions of demons, monsters, and other horrid creatures were on the practice field now. Gestin looked at it all with an evil gleam in his one good, golden eye. His bat like wings stretching, anticipatian surging through them all. Gestin looked up at the yellow full moon, yes, th time for battle was approaching very quickly indeed.

Akumi walked calmly in the cold night wondering around with her long black cloak around her whole body. She tried to keep herself consiled in the dark so no one could do her any harm or come near her. She was very hunger but she couldn't make reguler food please her she needed blood but deined herself that. She didn't want to cause any trouble for anyone. She kept quietly walking then stopped somewhere and looked at the bright shinging moon, she had stopped at an uknown place once more like many nights. She always kept walking till she reached unknown points in Elixer.

ooc| Ok, very sorry I haven't posted really...at all. But now I'm here. Sorry for the inconvience. Anywho, I have a new picture for Rido Kain. This will be him from now on:
Image
Now that thats out of the way....

Rido Kain sat on his throne, slicing the palm of his hands and watching them heal right before his eyes as though there had never been any damage inflicted. His icey silver eyes scanned the massive throne room, his long purple hair resting lightly past his shoulders. "Exodus!" he ordered, impatience flashing across his face.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exodus heard the loud call of his name and sighed, putting away his two favoited sabors he had been polishing back into the sheaths that crossed over behind his back. Standing up off the woonden bench in the armor room, he trotted through the secret tunnels that lead straight into the Throne Room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It's about time." Kina stated, his mind obviously elsewhere. "Send this message to the Shadow King." The man held out a rolled up sheet of parchment, sealed with three wax seals, all displaying the Kings Crest: The heads of Cerberus.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And so Exodus recieved the note and turned, eginning his ride to the Shadow Kingdom. Through the darkest woods and creepish sights, he saw none of, only darkness, as he was completly blind. His pale hands gripped the reins of his demonic steed while his white hair creating a flurry of brightness around his head, and the long ties of the red strip of cloth that covered his eyes blew wildly behind him, giving him the appearence of a ghost. Finally, he arrived on the outskirts of teh Shadow Palace. Riding slowly up to the main gate, he saw the two guards and held up the note with seals of the Elixer King Rido Kain.

The Sentries guarding the entrance to the Shadow Palace saw the blind messenger, they had seen him begore, as he seemed to be Rido Cains favorite messenger. The Guards did as usual, they lead the blind boy with his demonic steed into the throne room bowing low as the doors opened, revealing the sight of Lord Zeboroth, sitting mightely atop his bronze and iron throne.

"Ah, its seems we have a visitor." mused Zeboroth, "What have you for me this time Exodus?" Turning his head to glare at a nearby war elven slave, Zeboroth commanded, "Go fetch Zeatha." The war elf bowed low and scurried off into the hallway, running around in the castle, he finally came to the room Zeatha resided in. Bowing low the slave whimpered, "Mistress Zeatha, Lord Zeboroth requests your comapny, the messenger Exodus has arrived."

Exodis felt let himself be led along to the Shadow Kings throne room. Once he realized that they had arrrived and Zeboroths voice boomed out at him, he dismounted his steed and let the guards lead it away to be given fresh water and some rest before they set out once more. Turning in the direction of the King, Exodus bowed, but only halfway too show that his respect for the king was not quite as high as for his own Majesty. "You Lordship, I bare with me a note from His Majesty Kain." THe blind man held out the parchment for the higher level of the two and awaited his reaction.

the note actually read::

Zaboroth,
As I have felt the strain of war in the coming winds, I know you have also. We will fight, or we will fall. Until the angels save us all, war will rage bloody and hoorid until only few are left standing. I am willing for this, and challenge you to step up. My High Messanger Exodus should have given you this note, and if harm beseaches him, you will perish soon before the war has even begun. Do not tempt me....

Ruler of Elixer

Zeboroth received the note, easily breaking the wax seals with his sharp nails. Reading it over, Zeboroth began to laugh darkly. "Why of course it shall be bloody and horrid, thats just the way i'd like it to be." Awaiting Zeatha arrival, Zeboroth stared across the room at the blind Messnger. He spoke, "So you are Ridos High Messenger? Interesting." Zeboroth took note of the face the young boy was blind, "Tell me, do you have any other duties to your Lord?"

Exodus set his jaw and his blind eyes turned hard beneath the red cloth that hid them. "My apologies Your Lordship, but that does not concern you." The boy cocked his head to the side and a small smirk began to etchh into his features. "But I will tell you the basics. I follow my King because he is undeniably right and as pure as any leader of his Kingdom. His reign has and always will be the best thing that ever happened to this land." Exodus let his smirk show full out to show that he was completly comfortable with this other King. He was a risk taker. His sight was gone. What more was there to loose?

((haha your life....sorry had to go out there and answer that retorical question there))

All the guards in the throne room tensed, ready to jump, their swords and spears ready to pierce the blind boys body and defend their Lord. Zeboroth raised one of his eyebrows beneath his shaggy blonde hair, raising his hand cooly to calm down the guards, Zeboroth was not one quick to anger. "Really, now, is that so?" A smirk spread across his features, the messnger boy had grown foolish with his blindness, thinking he had nothing to fear now that his sight was gone. "You beleive your King is the right one, so be it. But I'll explain something to you right now Exodus, You're in my Palace now. I could have you killed at this very moment, but it would not please me...too greatly" Zerboroth added, "But you will be one of the first to die during the war, i'll make sure of it." The several guards in the throne room smirked at the messenger, oh how they would love to kill him right now.

((haha wow.....X3))

Exodus's smirk did not waver. "My sight for this wonderous world we live in was the highest price I could ever have paid for, My Lord. My King asks that we sacrifice ourselves for the good of the Kingdom, and in one battle, my eyes were the toll I had to pay to fight for my nation." His jaw hardened and one of his palee hands tightened into a fist. "Do not speak to me as though I am some foolish child with dreams of becoming a hero." The blind messangers smirk widened. "I'm already there."

Zeboroth laughed out harshly at Exodus' last comment, "You think because you were stupid enough in battle to lose you eyesight makes you a hero. My boy you have much to learn. Your conceited ways will get you killed in battle." /I could only hope...or i could be the one to end it./ Zeboroth thought to himself with an evil smirk. "Now tell your Lord that he neednt challenge me, but to challenge himself. Tell him the Lord Zeboroth is ready. Ready for a war. Ready to kill him." At that moment, two guards in the throne room took their que and headed for the boy forcing him out to go find his demonic steed.

Exodus managed to say one last thing before the guards forced him out. "I am more of a hero then thy shall ever be Zeboroth." As he was pushhed outside the throne room, he found his steed and mounted it, riding like white lightning across the treacherous lands of Darth. Once he finally returned, he came straight to the throne room. Bowing quickly, the Blind Messanger spoke, "My Leige, the Lord Zeboroth has spoken these words: Now tell your Lord that he neednt challenge me, but to challenge himself. Tell him the Lord Zeboroth is ready. Ready for a war. Ready to kill him." The boys hands hardened into fists at the last statement announced. King Kain was his own fatherly figure and Exodus know that he was of the best warriors in battles. He could defeat anything...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rido Kain looked down at Exodusm his silver grey eyes hard and yet challenging. "So be it. If it is a killing our Lord Zeboroth wants, then it is a killing he shall recieve." The King seemed to be thinking hard about somehing, but then finally realized his messanger was still there. "Now, off with you, boy! There is war in the air like a morning storm. Go and prepare yourself." exodus nodded silently and dissapeared into a passageway, leaving his ruler to think.
