Wishes

Have you ever made a wish -- like at a wishing well -- and later had it come true?

For example, when I was much younger, I wished I could live in a fantasy world like in all the books I was reading. A few years later, I had my first psychotic break (it turns out I have schizophrenia), and my grandiose delusions convinced me that that I was living in a magical world. Everything was interpreted through that lens.

After being medicated and returned to reality, I felt quite silly, but I did in fact wish for that, although it kind of backfired.

I guess wishful thinking can also take the form of a prayer. Have you ever prayed for something and had it come to fruition?

yes! always wished for a real person corporate job - turns out it's a different kind of hell for people like me, if the corporate environment is designed and saturated by people who are nothing like me

also wished for rain and it happened, albeit as a hurricane.
